Five Star Summer is a heartwarming story in which we meet Evie and Abby and see how their stories intertwine. Having grown up in a close-knit community where everyone knows what he had for dinner every day, Evie has thought about a change. The fact that her changes in the hotel she works at haven’t really stuck doesn’t help.
Abby wants to please her mother, so when she sends her to one of her struggling hotels, she’s kind of relieved. Maybe she can start over somewhere no one knows she’s the boss’s daughter.
While working together, Evie and Abby will become friends, but there are things they haven’t said to each other.
I really like Sarah Morgan’s books; they are always refreshing, hopeful and heartfelt. This time, we get a story about finding your own place in the world, second chances, and even finding love where you least expect it. I loved the setting, and while sometimes the characters exasperated me for different reasons, they were an interesting bunch, and I deeply enjoyed reading it.
