Someone We Know - Shari Lapena

Someone we know was a very intriguing read. It is the second book by Shari Lapena that I read and I definitely enjoyed it. The book is certainly full of suspense and even when you have your theories, some of them might not be accurate at all.

The topic it deals with is quite interesting and it does make you think; how well do you know your neighbors? Moreover, how well do you know your family? The book is easy to read and can be read fast, I finished reading it on the second day and ended up sleeping very late, but I needed to know who had done it?

Even when I thought it was obvious, my theory was not entirely accurate and that is obviously one of the best things about the genre; wondering and trying to guess. However, I must admit that I was somewhat disappointed because of the ending, especially the motive, but I was surprised after all. What frustrated me was the bomb Shari drops on us at the very last pages…I mean, what? I need to know more about that!

Overall I liked it and I will definitely keep reading more of Lapena’s books, they are perfect for this month and season, don’t you think?
