The Little Perfume Shop off the Champs-Élysées by Rebecca Raisin
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
So sweet and beautiful!
This is the first book I read by Rebecca Raisin and I’ve got to say I regret not reading the previous ones, from The Little Paris Collection. Not because it affects the reading of this book but because I really enjoyed it and I want, I need, more
In The Little Perfume Shop off the Champs-Élysées we find a story that is sweet but also deep and complex. A story about dreams, about not giving up on them and about following your heart.
I love all things French, so reading a book set in Paris was great and I really liked the part of the Perfumery. It was refreshing and different and very interesting to read.
I liked the characters, I related to Del. She’s my age and it was nice to say I’m not the only one struggling with life plans and finding love. I loved Sebastien, he was so sweet!
The story is easy to read, its light and fast paced and I found it inspiring and uplifting.
I deeply enjoyed it, however, I thought the final part was a little bit rushed and abrupt. I’d have loved to know more about Del and the choice she made. An epilogue would have been great. But I really liked it nonetheless.
